Culminating Activity for Time Unit

Our ending activity was planned, created and acted out all in our final afternoon. We were reading (for the 100th time, a little exaggeration - but Lilly requested it a lot also) The Grouchy Ladybug by Eric Carle. Fun book - and is great for learning about time/clocks. When we read it we had our clocks handy and showed the times as the ladybug traveled through the day.
So, yesterday afternoon we were reading The Grouchy Ladybug in Lilly's room before naptime. The kids started gathering items from around her room (stuffed animal ladybugs, a flower, animals, etc.) and acting it out as I read it. When Lilly fell asleep Micah and I began putting it together as a puppet show. We typed out a script, gathered animals, put up our puppet theatre and acted out a fabulous performance for Matt & Lilly.
Afterwards I heard: "Mom, that was so great!" "What's our next skit going to be about?" "That was the best thing we did today."
