An early start

On Saturday morning, while Matt was at his Timothy Men study, our neighbor Della invited us to visit her backyard - she has a very green thumb. Just before heading down there she called and said there was a garage sale that she would like to go to. The kids and I jumped into the car, picked her up, and headed to it with her. For the first time, Micah gathered some of his own money and did some personal shopping. Wow, was that fun to watch (and great for the context of reusing). He found something for Lilly and himself - how sweet.
Then we went to Della's back yard. Wow!!! So colorful with all kinds of flowers. She let the kids pick some daisies to make a beautiful bouquet.

Then, on Sunday, our friends, the Meigh's (also neighbors) offered us to go into their backyard and cut some roses. They have too many bushes to keep pruned. We made some recycled vases on Monday and went down to do some rose bush trimming.
