We used our ball-shaped mold and made a chocolate cake. It didn't fit in our cake stand, so I cut out two layers of the middle before frosting them together. The kids made blue and green frosting and then had at it on their own cakes. Micah's cake was like the globe and Lilly's was like a map. :) You can see how intentional he was in making the continents.
