Special moments

Just prior to starting this unit we were at the home of our friends the Gravels. On their refrigerator was a craft of colored shapes with Bible verses on them. I asked to borrow it and used it as one of our 'wrap-up' activities on Friday. We made larger versions. It was special for a couple of reasons - 1. during these weeks Lilly's pronounciation of more shapes and colors became more clear. So as she was selecting hers she was telling me clearly "green heart"; 2. Micah read the Bible verses.
Other special moments - catching Micah reading many of the books we had out for this unit. The most read together - Hello Red Fox and Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? Together they read In The Deep Blue Sea. That was a favorite at nap-time.
